Photo Instructions for Virtual Facial Consultation
(Rhinoplasty, Septorhinoplasty, Facelift, Eyelid Surgery, Chin & Facial Procedures)

To help our surgeons accurately evaluate your facial anatomy and determine the most appropriate treatment plan, please submit the photographs listed below prior to your virtual consultation. Standardized photographs allow us to assess facial balance, symmetry, skin quality, and nasal structure for both cosmetic and functional concerns.

Photo Preparation

• Remove all makeup if possible.
• Remove eyeglasses, hats, jewelry, and facial piercings.
• Pull long hair completely away from your face and ears.
• Men should be clean shaven if possible, particularly for rhinoplasty or chin procedures.
• Use a plain, solid-colored background.
• Stand in bright, even lighting with no shadows across your face.
• Do not use portrait mode, filters, editing tools, or image enhancements.
• Hold the camera at eye level approximately 3–5 feet away.
• Keep your head in a natural, upright position.
• If possible, have another person take the photographs.

Required Photos (10 Total)

• Front View — relax your facial muscles and look directly at the camera.
• Left Side Profile
• Right Side Profile
• Left 45-Degree (Oblique) View
• Right 45-Degree (Oblique) View
• Front View – Smiling Naturally
• Front View – Neutral Expression
• Head Tilted Up — photograph from below to show the underside of the nose (base view).
• Close-Up of the Nose (Front View)
• Close-Up of the Nose (Side View)

Additional Photos (If Applicable)

For Eyelid Surgery

• Eyes open while looking straight ahead.
• Eyes gently closed.
• Looking upward.
• Looking downward.

For Facelift or Neck Lift

• Close-up views of the neck.
• Side profile demonstrating neck laxity or jowling.
• Chin elevated slightly to demonstrate skin laxity.

For Chin or Jawline Procedures

• Front, profile, and 45-degree views with teeth gently together.
• Side profile showing the chin and neck relationship.

For Functional Septorhinoplasty
If you are seeking surgery to improve breathing, please also include:

• A close-up photograph looking directly into each nostril.
• A photograph while taking a deep breath through your nose (if possible) to demonstrate any external nasal valve collapse.

Please be prepared to discuss:

• Which side is more difficult to breathe through.
• History of nasal trauma or fracture.
• Previous nasal surgery.
• Seasonal allergies or chronic congestion.
• Prior use of nasal steroid sprays or allergy medications.
• Use of nasal strips or other breathing aids.
• Sleep disturbance or snoring related to nasal obstruction.
