What is breast fat grafting?
Breast fat grafting (fat transfer to the breast) harvests fat from a donor site — typically the abdomen, flanks, or thighs — via liposuction, processes it, and reinjects it into the breast to add volume and refine contour. Because the tissue is your own, there is no risk of implant-related complications. Results are modest compared to implants but offer a natural feel and appearance. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia or sedation and typically takes two to three hours. Most patients return home the same day.

FAQs
Common questions about this service and what to expect.
Post-operative follow-up is managed through your surgeon's office. Our team coordinates closely to ensure continuity of care throughout your recovery.
Yes, fat grafting is frequently combined with a breast lift to address both volume and position in a single procedure.
Fat grafting eliminates implant-related risks such as rupture or capsular contracture, since it uses your own tissue. Your surgeon can help you weigh the tradeoffs between fat grafting and implants based on your goals.
Breast fat grafting is performed under general anesthesia or sedation, administered and monitored by a board-certified anesthesiologist throughout the procedure.
Incisions used for fat harvesting are small and placed in inconspicuous areas. Scarring is minimal and fades significantly over time.
A portion of transferred fat is naturally reabsorbed by the body in the months following surgery. Your surgeon accounts for this during planning and may recommend a touch-up session if needed.
Fat grafting typically provides a modest volume increase, often the equivalent of a half to one cup size. It is best suited to patients seeking subtle enhancement rather than significant size change.
Most patients resume light activity within a few days and normal routines within 1–2 weeks. Swelling at both the donor and injection sites gradually resolves over several weeks.
